SUMMER 2019 MENU
Introducing our newest SBC special: Sweet Bay a sweet apple dessert wine! We distilled our cider to 150 proof and aged it in barrels. Then we added fresh pressed juice to make this incredible brandy in the Pommeau style. After another round of barrel-aging we have for you this new fortified cider at 18% ABV. So smooth and delicious, enjoy 2-3 pours for a nice sized drink!!!!
AKA Jon Green, the apples in this 50-50 blend are sweet and aromatic with a hint of bitterness. The resulting cider flavors are crisp, clean, dry, then lightly carbonated to make it bright and bubbly. Dry enough to please our British patrons.
1. Power Island (5.2% ABV)
Jonathan, Rhode Island Greening
Barrel aged Spanish style cider, infused with Jalapeño and Habenero peppers, for a savory combination of refreshing sour and a hint of heat. Goes great with sandwiches and salads.This semi-dry cider is a delightful hopped cider .
2. Sidra-LaPeño (5.8% ABV)
Variety of Local Leelanau Peninsula Farm Apples
3. Mosaic (5.5% ABV)
We pressed and blended locally grown apples and aged the juice in a barrel. Then we infused the cider with Mosaic hops which are known for their fruity appeal. The character is light and tangy!
4. Highlander (6.5% ABV)
If you're looking for something special, this cider is infused with culinary lavender producing a complex herbal aroma. Combine that with a rich blend of four different appe varieties and the final product results in a full bodied off-dry cider.
An off-dry cider made with the classic cider apple, Northern Spy, and a hint of fresh ginger to counterbalance the sweetness of the apple. Ginger’s natural tingliness brightens the flavor with lemon notes. This cider won Best in Class in the 2018 GLINTCAP judging!!
5. I Spy Ginger (5.5% ABV)
Northern Spy, Ida Red infused with Ginger Root
With locally harvested fresh mint from a lakeside slope we infused this delightful blend of apples to make a semi-sweet light cider. Testamint is a summertime palette-pleaser. It pairs nicely with chocolate dessert. Silver award winner.
6. Testamint (5.53% ABV)
Macintosh, Fuji, Mutsu
A blend of Wild Apples, Macintosh Northern Spy with Balaton and Montmorency Cherries, AKA Don Cherry, this cider is a robust blend of handpicked wild apples and a hint of cherry that delivers a balanced sweet-tart flavor. It received a bronze medal in the 2017 GLINTCAP judging.
7. Cherry Fest! (5.7% ABV)
Wild Apples, McIntosh, & Northern Spy with Balaton & Montmorency Cherries
8. Smitten (4.5% ABV)
Northern Spy, Ida Red Swiss Gourmet, Jonathan, Rhode Island Greening, Yellow Delicious - Finished with Winesap and Zestar Apples. Naturally sweet, crisp, and appley; it always tastes like a beautiful day in Northern Michigan! Silver award winner at GLINTCAP 2018 in the modern sweet cider category!
